Ramadan

I just realized that I missed the start of Ramadan this year. My intention was to start reading the Quran during this time and get back to this blog. I am really behind but I think I am going to give it shot and see... I would have preferred to have prepared for this and have made some more Muslim friends to do this with. Oh well, I guess I'll do what I can on my own and start working toward next year.

For my Muslim friends out there I hope that you get all the spiritual blessings you are looking for as you celebrate this most holy time.

Getting back to it

OK,

The intentions I had for this blog did not quite materialize they way I had hoped. I had to learn a few things, namely how to get straight to the point and still provide a quality post. Honestly the process of trial and error is something I enjoy very much. If I am not making mistakes and learning from them I tend to get bored with a project.

So instead of trying to eat the whole plate of food in one bite I am going to approach it in small bites; one at a time. I'm ready to get back into reading and I hope once again that this process brings benefit to all who participate.

Neglecting a deep love

I have been so busy and unable to keep up with this blog the way I want to. It is like being madly in love in a long distance relationship. When things settle down a little bit I certainly plan on giving this blog the attention it deserves. I believe that so much of my own personal growth will be benefited by gaining a more sensitive understanding of my Muslim friends and their sacred beliefs. I look forward to the day in the near future when I can fully engage in my quest to read the Qur'an in full and making my comments on this blog.

Until then I will carry what I have read so far close to my heart and hope that the day will soon come when all sides will want to understand each other a better.
